Story

Boogie is a 5 1/2 year old Dogue de Bordeaux. She was diagnosed with Epilepsy at 12 weeks of age. We were told she most likely would not live to her first birthday and if she lived to her second birthday, it would be a miracle. Well, she is our miracle girl.
She is an ambassador of the breed and assists with breed education and breed rescue booths. She has never met anyone she didn't like, including people, dogs, cats, rabbits, squirrels, pigs, goats, horses and cows. She is not typical of the Dogue de Bordeaux in her temperament as she has no prey drive and no idea what dominance or pack order is. She has had numerous health issues including epilepsy, torn crutiate ligaments in both knees, mega esophagus, myasthenia gravis, non existent thyroid, hip and elbow dysplasia. She has not let any of these slow her down.
She is a happy girl and always wants to bring a smile to you by her silly antics such as stealing food off of the counter or off of your plate while you are eating. She bucks like a horse when she wants you to play with her. She has traveled all over California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada making friends and admirers from all over the country with her wonderful personality. She is not a show dog, but loves to go to shows with us and meet people and actually loves to be in the ring because she knows when she goes in the ring, she gets extra cookies.
Boogie is the greatest and sweetest girl in the world! Anyone who has met her will tell you that! She has her own website as well educating people on Epilepsy and Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue in the US.
Boogie is a wonderful ambassador of the breed and truly deserves to be the Molosser of the Month!! She may not fit the standard of what a Bordeaux should be, she is much too large for a Dogue de Bordeaux female and does not have the greatest type, but she is the perfect pet!
