Story
10 years ago I moved with my dogs to a place in Norway that is called Finnskogen. I knew that here was a lot of wolves and
bears, but I didn't think about the real concequences by living that close to these wild animals.
One morning I had some strange visitors, a femel bear with two small bear cubs. My Doberman Aleksandra, a very little
female Doberman, but a very brave one, was outdoor and she saw those bears and hunted the bears away from my property.
But this wasn't enough for her, she followed them into the forest. The mother of these bear cubs thought obviously that
enough was enough and started fighting with my beloved Aleksandra, and that was very unlucky for Aleksandra. She was
killed by the bear.
I was looking for her for a very long time, and then, after 4 weeks searching, my other dogs finally found the remains of
her body.
After this I thought that something had to be done, because I wanted to stay here at Finnskogen and find a way to live with
wolves and bears as my neigbours.
I had heard about a breed that was called Caucasian Ovcharka, and that this breed could handle these wild animals and that
the Caucasian Ovcharka would take very good care of their family, like me and my other dogs and my sheep.
I checked around and looked for a great Caucasian Ovcharka, and was finally offered a grown up female, named Mörkömaan
Enkeli. Enkeli was born in Finland, and her breeder offered me to borrow a wonderfull male, named Shabo iz Svetloge Doma,
born in Russia.
These two wonderfull C.O's was mated and Enkeli got 5 pups. I kept one pup for myself, Little Merlin's
Natasha. When Natasha was 2 years old I was offered to buy Champ-Bull's Goliat, a wonderfull male.
Goliat and Natasha was mated and out of that litter, Little Merlin's Grom-Grom was born. She is a medium sized female with
really strong bones and a very strong head and she has a wonderful expression. She is working as LGD for my sheep.
And this year she and four of my other C.O. have been working as LGD for 100 cattles.
Grom-Grom has a wonderful and typical temperament and she really is a great C.O. She has also got a lot of prizes at dog
shows. This year she has got 2 x Best In Show and 10 times placements in the group, both at International and National
dog shows. So she is most like the potatoe, she can be used for everything, a great LGD, wonderful results at dog show
and she's a wonderful companion.
I can't imagine my life without her and my other C.O's. In some days she will be mated to the wonderfull male Flex z Woli
from kennel Hunza in Poland.
After I started with Caucasian Ovcharka, I haven't lost any animal, no dog and no sheep or goat.
Best regards,
