When we were travelling to Naples we did not go with the opportunety to buy a grown male in our mind. The intentions for the visit to Naples was to have a look at a puppy, that we had heard much good about. But, as we soon discovered, the puppy was not of such a quality as we expected, so we travelled further, to Ciro for having alook at his dogs.
At Ciro's place we were much welcomed, and we enjoyed the stay with good food together with Ciro's family and their dogs.
A beautiful male puppy did catch our attention, but since we were in the market for a female we asked if any sister was available......and we were lucky.....there were a litter sister of this male puppy that Ciro kindly let us buy.
We talked much with Ciro and he wanted to show us some dogs he had, dogs that were guarddogs at a large factory where Ciro was a night-guard. Nero came running and we were stunned to see such a lovely Mastino.
Well, the result was that when we returned home we did not just bring with us a female puppy, but we also had a grown guarddog in our car.

Nero is a gentleman, that from the first day only want to be petted and cuddled. He enjoy very much living in Norway, and he have now sired his first litter of heart-breakers here.
Nero also shows a good figure at dog-shows. He has several CAC from Italy, and he has also started his show career in Sweden and in Spain. Nero and I travelled, as a old couple, to Spain for a show in Zaragoza. We travelled with airplane from Oslo to Barcelona, and thereafter in a superb rented car to Zaragoza. Nero roamed in the backseat, and sleeped like a old husband.
At the hotel Merp wanted to sllep in the bed, and he thought that it was OK that I did not have any space. I told him that I did not want to have him in the bed, and as long as I watched he stayed on the floor. But as soon as my attention was on other objects that him, he saw the opportunety to enter the bed again.
The Zaragoza show became a success for Nero and me. The Judge, Enrique Fillipini from Argentina, thought that is was an honour to judge Nero, and he placed him of course at first place BOB.

We want to thank Ciro for a fantastic dog, that I hope many people will have the opportunety to meet in the near future.
