Atila represents a type of the breed that is not often seen, the result of crossing As de C'as Brau with his Dino lines and Alga d'es Puig des Teix and her Tronc lines. Dino was always considered to be an excellent male on Mallorca and his lines must be preserved. Tronc was a magnificent brindle male who came from what was to prove to be one of the great brindle lines. A Tronc sister also used in breeding on Mallorca was to produce some excellent offspring. For me Tronc's lines a very important if not one of the most important brindle lines which MUST be preserved. One of Alga's brothers is the famous ATROC d'es Puig des Teix.
ATILA is a functional dog, of the old type of brindle Ca de Bou with his rusticity, tipicity and strong character. I shall do all I can to maintain the old Brindle type of Ca de Bou. I know exactly what lines I want to work with in my breeding. I will be preserving the brindles thorugh to black-brindle which I feel so strongly about and will be breeding funtional dogs with rusticity, tipicity, old type brindles and strong.
The situation with the brindles is worrying. I can confirm that in the old days the brindles, black brindles and the black were more common than now. I remember in one afternoon visiting 4-5 black dogs and that was in just one area of the island. However there have in my opinion never been large numbers of brindles. Nowadays there are not many around and this worries me. There are some brindles in Mallorca but not all that many. Kennel Torrent de Pareis is therefore going to do all it can to maintain the old Brindle type of Ca de Bou and when I go to Mallorca this year for the Monografica I shall do an inventory of ALL the brindles there are on Mallorca.

2005 is a very important year for Kennel Torrent de Pareis as I shall be importing new breeding stock, brindle dogs and bitches from a couple of different litters of the brindle lines, because as I have mentioned, the brindle lines are the basis of my breeding here at Kennel Torrent de Pareis as I will do everything I can to preserve these very important brindle lines. I will also be importing from other very interesting lines including those which include the Duc and Atroc lines. Duc being another legend in the breed. I plan to keep either one or two pups from each litter and will make sure that at least one of the other pups from each litter returns to Mallorca.

Atila is to be mated to Miura hopefully next year and this combination can prove to be one of the very best in Europe. Miura is a Puerto Rican bred bitch owned by my very good friend Erik and bred by my dear friend Carlos on Puerto Rico. Miura will strengthen my lines with the input of her Chimo's lines. I am also planning to import stock from Puerto Rico myself as well in order to strengthen my lines as I know these PR lines in combination with mine will prove to be phenomenal.

Atila only requires one more CAC for his Championship and I will also be taking him to our neighboring countries of Finland and Norway as well as other European countries for shows.
