Bobby was the first dog ever to win the Molosser of the Month title, in January 1998, and he is so far the only dog to win the MOTM title twice.
Bobby had a difficult start in his life, which you can read about in the story below, and all honour should go to his owners, Bjoern & Ragnhild, for the tremendous work and efforts they have done, which shows true love and devotion for their dog.
Bobby was shown at the Norwegian Mastiff Clubshow the 21st August 2004, at the age of 10,5 years, where he became Best Veteran. It was at this show that I decided that Bobby truly deserve to be awarded the MOTM title once more, as the only dog ever to win the title twice.

Bobby's de-worming was neglected by his breeder, and at 4 months part of his lungs was worm-eaten, which nearly killed him. We was just finished with a extensive de-worming when I and Bobby joined a obedience course arranged by the famous Norwegian dog trainer Geir Nordenstam. Bobby has after this participated in a weekend course in obedience, and he has also won a frist price in obedience, in a competition arranged by the Norwegian Mastiff Clubshow.

Bobby won 22 CAC before he became Norwegian and Swedish Champion in February 1996, with Rudi Hübenthal as the judge. Bobby became Danish, Nordic and International Champion at the first possible opportunety in Herning -Denmark, 1996. The judge this time was Helge Lie from Norway. The next trip to Denmark resultet in the title European Winner 1997 and Copenhagen Winner 1997, for the judge Rainer Vuorinen from Finland.
The first visit in Finland resulted in becoming Finnish Champion and listing in the Group Final (28 participants. Best in Group was won by a beautiful Mastino Napoletano). Marlo Hjernquist was the judge at this show.
Bobby have been placed in several Group Finals at International Dog Shows.

Bobby had a 7 cm. long cancer tumour in his right shoulder. The tumour was located inside his muscle tissue and the complicated surgery, done by two vets, took two and a half hour to complete. After the recovery Bobby has won many BOB titles and he have been healthy and in good shape.

We, me and Bobby, began, when Bobby was a puppy, a determinded training for bettering the condition, but because of the "worm-problem" this had to be done another way. We began our training careful, and added 50 meters each time to our running trip. After a while we completed 10 kilometres running each day, and in addition training with weights in a harness.
The downhill slope of the Alpine track and the landing slope of the 90 meters ski jumping hill of Vikersund became daily visited training places. In the evening, both summer and winter, we trained at the Modum horse racing track, where we was the only paying member which was Man/Dog, as apposed to Man/Horse. This meant that we could train in flood lighting and at great circumstances. When it was ice at the racing track, Bobby had his own car to drive in front of him, which spread sand in front of him, to prevent injury.

Bobby is a family and show-dog that forever will have a special place in my heart, and he is also a dog that have left his paw-prints in the show ring and represented the breed in an excellent way.
